The 13th Annual Gourd Art Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday, June 27th and 28th, 2009 at the Welburn Gourd Farm in Fallbrook, California, and thousands of people travel from across the country to attend!

Come join the fun! You'll see some of the most spectacular gourd art ever created and see how a raw gourd bought for a few dollars can turn into an art piece worth thousands of dollars.
That's right! Fine gourd art sells for as much as $30,000! Meet some of the artists behind these creations and see their beautiful gourd creations.

Ready to create your own gourd masterpiece? Be sure to stop by the Gourd Crafting Arena during the festival, where you can woodburn, design, color, and finish a project of your own.
Adults and children 6 years and up are welcome, and projects are just $5 - $10 to create.

Get into the gourd fun by taking a full-day gourd art class with one of the many talented instructors participating at the event.
Gourd Art Classes are held the Thursday and Friday before the festival and anyone from beginner to advanced students may attend.
Pre-registration is recommended, as classes fill up, although walk-ins are welcome the day of for those classes not yet filled or that may have cancellations.

Voting for the People's Choice awards will take place all day Saturday during the festival, and the winners will be displayed starting at 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
Adjoining the People's Choice Art Competition is the California Gourd Society Gourd Art Competition, judged by a professional panel of judges before the event and viewed by the public for the duration of the show.

This is a 'must see' area of the festival, with gourd art that you will line up out the door to get a look at!

What would a Gourd Festival be without thousands of raw gourds for crafting? Enjoy browsing the gourd racks and selecting from the over 150,000 dried, organic gourds!
Always a big attraction at the event is the New Products Demo Booth, where all the latest items for gourd decor are showcased and demonstrated. Be sure to check out the gorgeous new line of Metallic Gourd Inks in 20 brilliant colors!

Artists from across the country and around the world will exhibit at the event, each with their own special style and specialty, from woodburning and weaving to carving and painting.
Stroll through the booths and enjoy the gourd creations!
If you are already a gourd artist or crafter, you will love the selection of gourd books, tools, and supplies offered by Gourd Festival vendors.
Try the latest woodburners and mini saws, or stock up on pine needles and weaving supplies -- its a gourd shoppers paradise!
Once you have gone through the booths, voted in the People's Choice competition, and enjoyed some tasty treats at the food court, you'll be ready to relax in the Wine Garden and enjoy the entertainment at the adjoining stage.

The Gourd Art Festival is delighted to have him at the show again this year. Be sure to see his performance, Saturday 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
Also back this year are the upbeat, latin rhythms of Tinku, performing 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 am and 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, and throughout the day on Sunday.
