Visitor Information

So I Have My Tickets...Now What?

Parking

Welburn Gourd Farm reserves one large plot of land solely for parking use for the festival. Parking is free. There will be a free shuttle transporting visitors from the parking lot to the front entrance.

If you would like a parking spot near the front entrance, VIP parking is $20 (all non-handicap visitors). Free Priority Handicap parking is also available on a first come, first serve basis (with placard). Once the Priority Handicap spaces are filled, drivers will be allowed to drop off any handicapped passengers at the front entrance and then park in the regular parking lot.

Lodging

The festival is located between the cities of Fallbrook and Temecula. To get to each city is about a 25 min drive. So which city should you stay in? It depends. Here's a bit of information about each city:

Fallbrook

  • Small village
  • Interesting shops and botiques are located on Main St
  • Has a few small hotels and family-run restaurants (and a Denny's). The hotels are nicely priced, but not as modern as what you'll find in Temecula
  • Stay here for the most direct route to I-5 (about 45 mins away)

Temecula

  • Large city
  • Has all kinds of modern hotels, Pechanga casino, a large mall, and chain restaurants
  • Has lots of local wine vineyards
  • Stay here for the most direct route to I-15

Airports

The nearest airports are:

  • San Diego International (1 hour away)
  • Ontario International (1 hour and 15 min)
  • John Wayne (Santa Ana) (1 hour and 20 min)
  • McClellan-Palomar (55 min)
  • Fallbrook Community Airpark (if you can fly yourself!) (25 min to festival grounds)

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I've heard this is the last festival. Why? Are you going out of business? :(

A: Welburn Gourd Farm is not going out of business. While the festival is a lot of fun to have, the time and resources it requires have grown so much each year that we decided to go in a new direction. We will be having more activities and events spread throughout the year, which provides many more opportunities for people to enjoy the farm. One of these activities is something we are very excited about: live online classes! Now no one will be left out because they can't travel to our farm.
